The Microsoft Azure Incubations Team launches Radius, a new open application platform for the cloud
The Microsoft Azure Incubations team is launching Radius, a cloud-native application platform that enables developers and platform engineers who support them to collaborate on delivering and managing cloud-native applications that follow corporate best practices for cost, operations, and security by default. Radius is an open-source project that supports deploying applications across private cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services, with more cloud providers to come.
With the new Outlook for Windows, Microsoft is bringing users a more consistent and robust experience with rapid access to new features. Part of this effort is making sure that the add-ins platform and deployment experience is consistent across Outlook endpoints, and that add-ins are supported reliably for end users. In the new Outlook for Windows, web add-ins are fully supported, with no additional work required from partners. COM Add-ins will not be supported, but will continue to work in classic Outlook for Windows.
Control data conversions in Excel for Windows and Mac
Microsoft has improved the Automatic Data Conversion settings it made available last year, and it is now making them broadly available in both Excel for Windows and Excel for Mac. Based on customer feedback, Microsoft has made the feature easier to find, added more format support, and made the feature available in Excel for Mac.
