New sales agents accessible in Microsoft 365 Copilot help teams close more deals, faster

Microsoft’s ambition is to empower every employee with Copilot and transform every business process with agents. It is announcing two new agents that apply this ambition to sales and can be used right in the flow of work. Sales Agent turns contacts into qualified leads, letting your reps close the biggest deals while the agent ensures that no lead is left behind. And Sales Chat helps accelerate the sales cycle, from getting up to speed on new accounts to preparing for customer meetings.

Personalize your plans with custom backgrounds

You can now use custom backgrounds for your basic plans in both Planner in Microsoft Teams and Planner for the web. Custom backgrounds allow you to easily distinguish between different plans. Powered by AI, background suggestions are tailored based on the name of your plan, so you can quickly identify and navigate to the specific projects you are working on without confusion. Furthermore, backgrounds enable you to customize your team projects in a way that’s fun and aesthetically pleasing.

Edit your display name in Teams meetings

Whatever the discussion entails, you can now ensure that participants know exactly who you are with the new ability to change your display name in Teams meetings. This feature also enables you to tailor how you appear in meetings to the group. You can shorten your name for privacy or conciseness, add your job title or company for context, or use a nickname or more familiar name for a specific audience – or just to add some flair to your profile.

Delivery and read receipts in Outlook for Android and iOS

You can now request delivery or read receipts, or effortlessly confirm receipt of emails from others, with a new feature in Outlook for Android and iOS. This feature gives both the sender and the recipient control, meaning that you can opt in or out of sending read receipts depending on the situation. Additionally, you can set a default response for when others request a read receipt from you rather than respond every time, making the entire process more efficient.
