Streamlining admin controls for Gemini Enterprise in the Google Workspace Admin console

Managing generative AI tools that can access your Google Workspace data will be easier than before with dedicated controls to manage Gemini Enterprise access in the Workspace Admin console. These settings will live in a new subsection in the left side menu bar under “Generative AI.”

New ways to create personalized images in the Gemini app

Personal Intelligence makes the Gemini app feel tailored to you, not just a generic tool that works the same for everyone. Google is introducing new ways for Gemini to use your interests and preferences with Nano Banana 2 and Google Photos to make image generation feel deeply personal. This lets you create unique images more easily, so you can spend more time creating and less time explaining.

Now in beta: Download client-side encrypted Google Slides

Export capabilities are now available for client-side encrypted (CSE) Slides files. Beta users can "Download and decrypt" CSE Slides files and export their Slides as PowerPoint files, facilitating seamless interoperability between platforms. This launch includes high-quality conversions of core elements—such as text, styling, tables, images, and comments—from Slides to Microsoft PowerPoint format.

Seamlessly join meetings on Google Meet hardware with “Connect Room”

The “Connect Room” feature is now rolling out to all Workspace customers with Google Meet hardware. It allows users to start or join meetings from their personal devices without the need to manually type in a meeting code. It is especially useful for impromptu or private meetings. By using ultrasound proximity detection, your personal device identifies a nearby Google Meet hardware system and prompts you to connect instantly.

Improved video quality on high-resolution displays in Google Meet

Google is updating Meet to provide higher quality video for users with high-resolution displays on the web and in rooms. This change will provide sharper and more detailed video, particularly for meetings with three or more participants.
