Issue #175 / 21-OCT-26

New Gemini tools for small business owners

Google is rolling out new Gemini tools to help small business owners streamline their daily operations. The update introduces a dedicated business landing page that serves as a central hub, seamlessly connecting Gemini with Google services and third-party applications. Additionally, you can now transform raw data into real-time financial insights and generate cohesive, on-brand marketing assets using the new Nano Banana 2.1 image model.

Follow through on your meeting tasks with meeting recaps in Google Chat

Google is introducing meeting recaps in Google Chat to help teams easily transition from planning to action. When "Take notes for me" is enabled during a Google Meet call, an automated summary silently appears in the associated Chat space. This recap highlights key decisions, assigns action items, and provides direct links to the meeting notes, recording, and transcript.

Publish interactive apps from the Gemini app to Google Sites

You can now export interactive apps built in the Gemini app directly to Google Sites. With one click, your app is added to a new, private site draft that is fully interactive and ready to customize. From there, you can add more content, publish the site, and share it just like any other Google Site.

Experience easier migration and collaboration between Google Workspace and Microsoft 365

To help organizations simplify the transition to Google Workspace, Google is enhancing data migration capabilities and Microsoft 365 interoperability. With these updates, IT teams can securely transfer sensitive information while allowing teams to collaborate, no matter if they are on Workspace or Microsoft 365.

Analyze BigQuery data using natural language with Gemini in Google Sheets

There is a new way to analyze BigQuery data in Google Sheets. After connecting to BigQuery data with Connected Sheets, you can use Gemini to interact and analyze that data conversationally, right in Google Sheets. Gemini queries run against the full dataset in BigQuery, not just what’s visible in your spreadsheet.
