Google has announced the next wave of innovations and enhancements to Workspace. First, Google Vids is a new AI-powered video creation app for work that brings the magic of real-time collaboration to video. Google also announced two commercial offers that allow you to bring AI-powered meetings and messaging, as well as AI-powered security, to everyone in your organization, each for only $10 per user, per month. In addition, Gemini is coming to Google Chat in preview, giving you an AI-powered teammate to summarize conversations, answer questions, and more. Finally, Google is making it easy for organizations to extend the power of their data and custom AI models by using Vertex AI with Workspace as a platform, enabling next-generation workflows that are built right into Docs, Gmail, and other Workspace apps.

Google Meet partners with Brandlive, broadens support for large-scale online events and webinars

 

Businesses of all sizes rely on Google Meet for easy and secure video conferencing. So, Google is introducing new capabilities to help them connect with their largest audiences. These include embedded live-streaming enhancements in Google Meet, and a new partnership with Brandlive for customizable and managed online events and webinars for up to 1 million participants. Google Workspace customers can now hold large-scale self-hosted events with Meet, or they can leverage Meet within the Brandlive platform for a more customized approach, including with features like branded sites and registration.

Control your users’ access to new Gemini for Google Workspace features before general availability

 

Google is introducing a new setting in the Admin console which will give Gemini customers the ability to test Gemini for Google Workspace alpha features before they become generally available. Specifically, admins will be able to turn on alpha features for all Gemini provisioned Workspace users or for a subset of Gemini users in a particular Organizational Unit (OU) or Group.
