Creating visually stunning presentations in Google Slides just got easier
Google is announcing new features and innovations in Google Slides that make it even easier to create polished, visually stunning presentations in less time. Updates include new templates, design elements, and AI-powered image improvements — all of them located at your fingertips in a refreshed Slides interface.
New in Gmail: Making end-to-end encrypted emails easy to use for all organizations
Gmail will allow enterprise users to send end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) messages to any user in any email inbox with just a few clicks. This capability abstracts away the traditional IT complexity and substandard user experiences of existing solutions, while preserving enhanced data sovereignty, privacy, and security controls. Google is rolling this out in a phased approach, in beta, with the ability to send E2EE emails to Gmail users in your own organization. In the coming weeks, users will be able to send E2EE emails to any Gmail inbox, and, later this year, to any email inbox.
Introducing Audio Overviews, now available in the Gemini app
Leveraging the same technology that powers NotebookLM’s Audio Overviews, Gemini app users can now generate podcast-style conversations based on documents, slides, and Deep Research reports. Upload files about topics you want to explore and enjoy dynamic discussions between two AI hosts with unique perspectives.
Google’s latest Workspace drop is here and includes some helpful Gemini updates for Meet business users. The “Take notes for me” feature can capture follow-up action items from meetings with a new “Suggested next steps” section in your meeting notes. Additionally, when you turn on the transcript for a meeting, the meeting notes that Gemini creates will link to the relevant part of the transcript so you can see more details and verbatim quotes. Finally, if you missed part of the conversation or need to refresh your memory, you can now scroll through the meeting captions while the meeting is happening.
