Announcing general availability of the new Microsoft Teams app for virtual desktop infrastructure
Users and admins can now experience and enjoy all the benefits of the new Microsoft Teams app within their virtual desktops. The new Teams App in VDI has feature parity with the classic Teams app and also has improved performance, reliability, and security. Customer feedback during public preview also helped Microsoft improve several VDI specific features and enhance the basics to guarantee smooth updates to the new Teams app.
New aggregation functions in Excel: GROUPBY and PIVOTBY
There are two new functions available in Excel for Windows and Excel for Mac: GROUPBY and PIVOTBY. These functions allow you to perform data aggregations using a single formula. And, while these functions are extremely powerful, they are also simple to get started with. In fact, you can do a data aggregation with just 3 arguments, the same number as a simple XLOOKUP.
Using modern comments in Microsoft Word is even more efficient with the introduction of filtering in the Comments pane. You can now filter for comments that @mention you, comments that are active, or comments that are resolved. Up until now, you could see all the comments – both active and resolved. In the Comments pane, you can now toggle between each filtered view to find the information most relevant to you, based on your workflow.
Dictate comes to the new Outlook for Windows and Outlook on the web
The Dictate feature you love in Outlook for Windows and Mac is now available in the new Outlook for Windows and Outlook on the web. The Dictate feature removes typing constraints and harnesses the power of AI-backed voice commands to help you effortlessly articulate your messages. It currently supports over 50 languages and ensures your thoughts flow freely, transforming the way you communicate.
