Bring virtual connections to life with Microsoft Mesh, now generally available in Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Mesh elevates engagement in Teams meetings with ready-made 3D immersive spaces crafted to suit your needs, whether it’s a team social gathering, a brainstorming session, or a round-table discussion. Design an avatar to represent yourself and include everyone in the conversation. Host multiple, simultaneous small-group discussions with spatial audio, which enables productive side conversations during brainstorming, like in the physical world. Use the same Teams features you love from within a 3D space, like accessing shared content for collaboration, communicating with Teams chat, and using live reactions to express yourself.
The highly anticipated feature, Forms data sync to Excel, is now available in Microsoft Forms. With just one click, you can now easily access all your form responses in Excel for the web and take advantage of Excel’s rich functions to analyze and visualize your data. With automatic syncing of new responses in real-time, you can keep working on your existing spreadsheet without missing a beat. No more juggling multiple copies of the same file, making it easier than ever to stay on top of important data.
You now have the ability to add Loop components to your OneNote notebooks. Loop components are sharable, editable pieces of content, such as lists, tables, and tasks, that are accessible and stay in sync across all the places they’re added across Microsoft apps. By using them in your notebooks, you can remain focused on your content while collaborating with others in real time without having to switch between different apps.
Easily control audio and video settings in Teams meetings
Managing audio and video settings during meetings can be tricky and distracting. Microsoft Teams Public Preview users can now easily access those settings and control key audio and video features, without having to navigate through multiple layers of settings. Depending on your goal, you can quickly access key AV features, with a single touch, from the Meeting toolbar, or access additional options on the side panel in a simple and straightforward way.
Microsoft has improved the way you interact with links in Word for the web. Now, you can see previews of linked pages without opening the link, as well as headings and bookmarks in your documents. By previewing a link, you get a sneak peak of its content, which helps you decide whether a link is worth opening. It also helps you assess the legitimacy of links by showing relevant information such as the URL of the webpage. Based on that information, you can decide whether you want to leave the document you’re in and review the linked information, or just skip and continue with the review of the document you are in.
